Hello! My name is Monica Cox, and I need your help to make a documentary-style video about this St. Louis road bicycle race, the Gateway Cup. How did I get to this point? Since we moved to St. Louis in 2018, my husband has been racing in the St. Louis bike community, and although I don't ride/race myself, I've grown very passionate about the sport. This passion has caused me to think about nothing but making a video about this race, this sport, this city, and, most importantly, the women who race in it.

Now, you may be asking, "Why women's races specifically?" There are many bike race videos all over Youtube about the men's pro races and not nearly enough about the women's pro races. This is a huge opportunity to shine the light on these fantastic pro women athletes, which is especially important now.

Here's where all of you come in... Acting as a producer on this project, I've assembled the necessary team to execute my vision (a director of photography & two assistant camera operators). However, since this video has no sponsor/client to give us financial backing, I need your help to pay the creative individuals who will put their time into this endeavor. This team is essential to making the best film possible to elevate these racer's stories and the sport genuinely. Therefore, I will not be taking any money earned. This project coming to fruition is payment enough for me.

There has never been a better time, a more necessary time, to make this film for women's pro racing, the Gateway Cup, and St. Louis. Let's give this biking community the recognition it deserves.
