Help me get my Grandpa a chairlift!

Donation protected
This is my Grandpa Drew Long.  He retired as a Chief of Police in South Salt Lake City Utah in 2002 where he dedicated his life to serving his community and building relationships with those he chose to protect and serve.  Now 18 years later he is suffering from an extremely rare disease called Inclusion Body Myositis.  This disease typically affects the distal muscles (arms and legs) and causes extreme muscle weakness and eventually muscle degeneration.

He is already seeing the affects of this disease as he has an extremely difficult time just walking on grass or even lifting his feet while taking steps and as a result has caused him to fall many times.

Even though this disease is trying to slow him down, he still pushes as hard and as long as he can.  He is however to the point where it is difficult for him to even walk let alone go up/down stairs.  Usually he has to crawl on his hands and knees in order to make it up/down the stairs.

It pains me to see my grandpa, a man who I have learned so much from suffer like this.  My hope is that I can raise enough money to provide him a chairlift before he falls up or down the stairs and is significantly injured.  Anything you can help with is greatly appreciated!
