I'm trying to do the right thing and establish a more structured and stable life here in Boston.
It isn't easy without a place to live, but luckily these wonderful people in Jamaica Plain have offered me a place to stay permanently. They run a co-op with an emphasis on POC and LGBTQ folks and are offering a sober living situation for someone engaged in their recovery process, which i feel would be most beneficial for me at this time.
Once I have a home of my own, I can finally start working towards a career. I'm looking forward to saving up some money and developing a healthier lifestyle for myself.
I have so many loving people around me that have lifted me and it means so much to me, and I hope one day to be in a position to the same for others.
I'm only looking for enough to cover first and last month's rent so I can move in once I have been discharged from the hospital, and enough for some meager living expenses while I nail down a more consistent source of income in the following weeks.
Those closest to me have promised to help me through this and hold me accountable, and to them i will forever be grateful. Being in this position is uncomfortable, to say the least, but I can assure anyone who is kind enough to help me in this time of need that I will do right by them.
My good friend, Mike Kopson, is helping me set this fundraiser up and will distribute the funds to me after I recover from what happened this past week.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for anything you are able to give.
♡, Avan
