Hi, we’re Olivia’s parents, and we’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful hands. Our daughter Olivia is 14 years old. She’s bright, creative, and full of potential, but she’s also facing daily challenges that no young person should have to deal with. Olivia has ADHD, autism, depression, social anxiety, and a condition called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), which causes her to faint when she stands or walks for too long. Right now, Olivia can’t safely leave the house without risking serious harm. She’s missing out on school, time with friends, and simply being a teenager. It’s heartbreaking to see her independence and joy slipping away. A lightweight, custom-fit wheelchair would completely change that. It would give Olivia the freedom to safely go outside, attend appointments, spend time with friends, and start reclaiming her life. To keep things realistic and ensure this goal is attainable, we’re aiming to buy a second-hand wheelchair in excellent condition. The model Olivia needs costs an average of £700 used, and unfortunately, it’s not covered by the NHS.
