Help me get my dad home and give him a funeral

My dad David Cook passed away tragically and unexpectedly last week . My family is shocked and devastated at his passing.

My dad was a hardworking husband, father, and grandfather who dedicated his whole life to keeping his family fed and taken care of. He was only 66 years old. He was the sole provider, and his passing has left my mom and family in financial hardship. I need your help to bring him home so that he can be buried, and so we can have a funeral to honor his life.

After my father passed, they took him to modesto, and he is still there awaiting transportation to the oak hill cemetery in San jose. It’s over $1500 just to get him home, and this unexpected cost is hitting us hard. Not only that, but a funeral is something we now need to budget for.

My dad and mom previously decided to be buried together in a shared plot. When they bought the package, they were led to believe that the cost included the funeral services and transportation to the cemetery. That turned out to not be the case. We were completely blindsided not only by his loss, but by these extra costs. 

I’m asking for help getting my dad home to be buried at the cemetery and help my mom with funeral expenses so she can say goodbye and process the loss. I don’t really feel comfortable doing this, but because of extenuating circumstances I have no other choice. Any support you can give my family will be greatly appreciated.
