Help Me Get My Car Out of Impound After a Medical Emergency
Goal: $3,100.88 | Lorain, OH → Dixon County, IL
Hi, my name is Andrea Miceli. This spring, right after Easter, I suffered a sudden and serious medical emergency just outside of Chicago. I was rescued by paramedics and hospitalized for weeks. In the chaos, my only vehicle—a 2015 copper-colored Mitsubishi Outlander—was towed and impounded by Ashton Auto in Dixon County, Illinois.
When I was finally discharged from the hospital and returned home to Lorain, Ohio, I came back to unpaid utility bills, no groceries, and urgent expenses I simply couldn’t meet.
My car isn’t just transportation—it’s my bread-and-butter. It contains the essential tools I use to work and stay independent:
My notary stamp and legal documents
Photography and creative materials
Personal effects and medical items
Without it, I can’t get to clients. I can’t do signings. I can’t sell or deliver my art. I’m stuck.
What Your Donation Supports:
$3,100.88 – Required to release the car from Ashton Auto
$0 (hopefully) – My auto insurance may cover the tow back to Lorain
Anything helps – Whether $5 or $50, every little bit adds up
I spoke with Mike, the owner of Ashton Auto, who has been nothing but kind—but he does need to recover his own costs. And after so much time in medical care, I’m unable to cover this bill on my own.
