My car was recently towed because of overdue parking tickets, and things have gotten overwhelming fast. With all the extra fees, I owe the city a significant amount just to get my car back, plus the towing and storage costs that keep adding up. On top of that, I’m dealing with issues around my registration and driver’s license, which started when my mini school bus was towed and my plates were never returned. A gap in my insurance made everything even more complicated. Altogether, I’m facing several thousand dollars in expenses just to get back on track, but my immediate priority is getting my car out before the storage fees get out of control in the next five days.

My car isn’t just a way to get around. It’s how I bring art, games, and creative experiences to parks and spaces all over the city. Without it, I can’t bring my full setup of chairs, tables, art supplies, and photography gear. I could try to scale down or use rideshare apps, but neither really lets me do what I’ve been building for the community these past few years. My car lets me create, host events, and give other artists a place to share their work and connect with people.
