I’ve never done anything like this before, but I am asking for any help anyone can offer. This past weekend I was involved in a terrible incident. Over a chop I was jumped, robbed and stabbed in the face. I’m not a confrontational person and I don’t get involved in drama, I’m in ballroom b/c I love the competitiveness of the sport and I also love to dance it’s all passionate for me and meaningful and my safe space where I can be free and just enjoy being who I am without judgement! To think b/c I was chopped and someone else was upset about it, I would be injured this severally over it! The doctors told me that I could’ve lost an eye and that it was inches away from a nerve, that I wouldn’t have been able to open my eye anymore and this his in more ways than one. My face would be left like this for life and unsure if this scar will go away. A person that is a leader in the community allowed himself to hurt someone for no reason and he is the representation of what I come on this floor to do. I say this to say, I am really in need of help and any amount would greatly be appreciated. I can’t go to work at the moment b/c of the pain that I have in my face, shoulders and neck. I also have Medical bills to pay, pills, creams, food and other things to buy to help with swelling and the healing process. I would once again appreciate all the help! I am grateful to be alive and thankful for all the concerns, prayers and assistance
