Hi my name is natalie and I’m fundraising to raise money to get lipedema liposuction on my legs.

i discovered around 2 years ago that I have lipedema.

Lipedema is a condition that is almost exclusively found in women and results in enlargement of both legs due to deposits of fat under the skin. Women of any weight may be affected and the fat is resistant to traditional weight-loss methods.

This means I can’t loose this fat with exercise and diet and it can only be removed with surgery. I have already lost greats amount of weight and in my legs it just has not budged. I have tried every diet also none which have had any impact on my legs.

Not only has this effected my mental health I with restrictions on what clothes I can wear but it also painful to touch as well as can fully affect my mobility if not treated. I have tried to embrace my legs by wearing shorts and shorter clothing but every time I end up in floods of tears and going home to find full length trousers or skirts to cover to this.

The NHS have little to no help for this apart from some compressions so this really now is a turn for help.
