I never imagined hearing the words: 'There’s nothing more we can do here.' I’m on dialysis. I have serious heart problems. And now, my doctors are recommending that I seek care at the Mayo Clinic—or another specialized hospital—because my condition has reached a point where local treatment options are exhausted. Another option on the table is a procedure called renal denervation, something being considered because my body is running out of answers. This isn’t just overwhelming—it’s terrifying. Dialysis already controls my life. The heart issues make every day unpredictable. And now, the reality is that surviving may require traveling far from home, seeing specialists, and undergoing advanced treatment that my current medical team can’t provide.

I’m still standing. I’m still fighting. But I can’t do this part alone. Between medical costs, travel, lodging, treatment expenses, and everyday living while battling chronic illness, the weight is more than one person should have to carry. Asking for help is not easy—but choosing to fight for my life is. Every donation helps bring me closer to the care I desperately need.
