Most people know I suffered a soccer injury in 2023 that led to four major surgeries. Unfortunately, I developed post-surgical complications and have been enduring what I thought was shin splints since I returned to physical therapy in January of last year, 2025. After chasing the pain for 15 months, I have learned that it is Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome, also known as CECS. I have it in both legs, including my non-surgical leg, and it can be incredibly debilitating at times and extremely painful. There are no doctors locally that have much experience with it or will even do the testing I need for it. However, I have made friends with people on social media who informed me about The McKinley Clinic in Casper, Wyoming. This clinic has doctors who not only specialize in CECS but offer a much less invasive non-surgical treatment method that is known to cure the ailment in only 1-2 treatments.
This clinic does take my insurance for the visit, examination, MRI, X-Rays, etc., but does not take insurance for the actual treatment. Due to my medical finances and recovering from a house fire, I am attempting to raise funds for this treatment I am scheduled to have on April 2nd, next month. This treatment may very well be my answered prayers and will enable me to hopefully stand and walk without pain. If I am lucky, it will enable me to be healthy enough to own a dog again, walk a dog, hike, ride bikes, stand long enough to cook—which I love and miss deeply—and overall have a better quality of life.
I am humbly asking all of my family, chosen family, and beloved friends to donate what you are able to help make this treatment I desperately need attainable. I am asking also if you simply know of someone who might be looking for somewhere to donate where there is absolute desperate need for relief. I am also asking that if you are unable to donate financially that you will pray for me in this process and share my GoFundMe with others. You all have always been there for me and I may need you more than ever right now. Thanks for any way you choose to contribute. Love you all BIG!!
