My name is Miruna. I am a single full-time mom to my daughter Ize-Bo. She is my world, and I am hers.

Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The tumor was surgically removed, and since I wasn't in the position to afford to get sick at that time (no stable living situation and no backup caregiver for my daughter), I decided against further conventional treatment and instead started living a calmer and healthier life. Ize-Bo and I have our own rental home now, and I don't work as much as I used to.

Despite this, unfortunately, cancer came back. Not in my breast but in my neck this time. At this crucial point, I must make the right treatment decisions.

After a period of research, fortunately, I found a very effective treatment option. It has the best posible results considering my current situation and condition. This gives me a lot of faith and I would like to start this trajectory asap.

Unfortunately, insurance won't cover the costs of this form of immunotherapy. Despite the ever growing body of science, and the therapy even won a nobel price!

I am very confident this treatment will help me get better and get rid of and stay rid of cancer without harming my body or traumatizing my daughter.

Ik ben Miruna, alleenstaand fulltime moeder voor mijn dochter Ize-Bo. Zij is mijn wereld, en ik ben alles voor haar.

Eind vorig jaar kreeg ik de diagnose borstkanker. Ik heb de tumor chirurgisch laten verwijderen, en aangezien ik toen niet in de positie stond om ziek te kunnen zijn (ik had geen vaste woonplek, een drukke baan en geen back-up verzorger voor mijn dochter), besloot ik verder geen reguliere behandelingen te ondergaan. Ik richtte me op het leven van een rustiger en gezonder bestaan. Ize-Bo en ik hebben inmiddels onze eigen huurwoning en ik werk niet meer zoveel.

Desondanks, kwam de kanker helaas terug. Niet in mijn borst dit keer, maar in mijn nek. Op dit cruciale moment moet ik de juiste behandelkeuzes maken.

Na een periode van nader onderzoek, heb ik gelukkig een heel effectieve behandelmogelijkheid gevonden. Het heeft de best mogelijke resultaten voor mijn huidige situatie en conditie. Vol vertrouwen wil ik dit traject gaan starten.

Minder gelukkig is dat de verzekering de kosten van deze vorm van immunotherapie niet dekt. Ondanks alle wetenschap, en de therapie heeft zelfs een nobel prijs gewonnen!

Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat deze behandeling me zal helpen om blijvend van de kanker af te komen, zonder mijn lichaam te schaden en zonder mijn dochter te traumatiseren.

Ik wil een lang, gezond en gelukkig leven leiden. Voor mijn dochter Ize-Bo en mijzelf. Steun ons alsjeblieft. Al onze liefde en dankbaarheid gaat uit naar jullie. Ontzettend bedankt.
