Hi friends, kind souls, and generous hearts,
My name is Alessia and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request, something that’s not easy for me, but necessary right now.
Last August, I took a big step and bought my tiny house, a dream I poured everything I had into. About five months ago, I finally managed to install a solar power system so I could live simply, sustainably and off the grid. For a short time, it worked beautifully, I finally had electricity which also means running water and a fridge.
After just six weeks of use and returning from being away for a few months, the system broke down the very day I came back.
It’s incredibly disheartening, especially since this system was supposed to provide energy independence and stability. Unfortunately, through a combination of unlucky circumstances and possibly flawed installation or configuration, the batteries have become unusable and now I’m back to living without power; no light, no water from the tap, no shower and no fridge.
With the warmer months setting in, living without refrigeration has become a daily struggle. Food spoils quickly, and basic needs become constant challenges. I’ve managed before, but I’m at a point where I simply can’t do this on my own anymore.
To bring my home back to life, I urgently need new batteries, an additional solar panel and a safety controller to make sure this never happens again. Unfortunately, my financial situation, after investing everything into the tiny house and its solar power system, doesn’t allow me to cover these costs. I am working hard on recovering.
Asking for help is not easy - it feels vulnerable, and it’s outside my comfort zone. But I believe in community, in kindness, and in the power of people to lift one another up.
If you’re able to support - in any way - I would be deeply grateful. Whether through a donation or simply sharing this with others, it truly means the world to me.
Thank you for reading, for caring and for standing with me.
With love and gratitude,
Alessia & dog Csicsu
