Please help me get closer to my career dreams!

Hi everyone!! My name is Luna and I'm fundraising for the opportunity to attend U.M.'s Summer Scholars Program. Just a quick backstory, I am a junior who attends Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer. This school has presented me with so many chances to be great, from being given the ability to act in the first high school performance of "On Your Feet", to now working with my wonderful administrators to make my dreams a reality. I was recently accepted into the U.M. Summer Scholars Program, which provides high school sophomores and juniors the chance to study under certain disciplines and receive college credit. Since I was a very young child, I always aspired to work in the science field. I am a young Latina female, and my genetic standing is not exactly widely represented in such a field. I feel the Summer Scholars Program at the University of Miami can offer me a wonderful shot at receiving experience in such disciplines and provide me college credit, whilst giving me a unique qualification that can set me apart from other possible candidates in any specific job or college interview.

 

This spectacular program would be a lovely opportunity to expand my knowledge of what I hope will be my future career and broaden my educational and occupational choices, however, the tuition for this program is far beyond my means. The tuition is $8,850 dollars, and I have already raised $2,000. It would really mean the world to me if you could donate to my cause and help me reach my dreams of pursuing engineering and working this summer to receive professional guidance.
