Benji isn’t just a dog — he’s been my anchor through the hardest times in my life.

In just a couple of days, I lost my sister and then my childhood dog. We came home from meeting with the church about my sister’s funeral, and Benji was there, waiting on our property. He was exactly the dog I had been looking for, and he showed up at the moment I needed something good in my life.

Benji quickly became family. He taught me responsibility, gave me unconditional love, and was always there when I needed him most. When my dad passed, Benji became my reason to get out of bed each day. I can’t even put into words how much he keeps me going.

Now Benji has a serious injury and needs TPLO surgery on his back leg. At first, we feared it might be cancer. Then we thought he could be permanently lamed. Surgery, plus physical therapy, is the only way to give him a chance at living without pain.

The total cost for everything is around $8,000, and vet bills are already piling up faster than I can handle. I’ve done everything I can to cover it on my own, but I don’t have enough saved to cover surgery, therapy, and ongoing care.

I can’t imagine my life without Benji. His happiness and well-being are everything to me. After all the loss I’ve faced, Benji isn’t just a dog, he’s my constant and my reason to keep going. Caring for him is not just important, it is essential for my health, my sanity, and my life. I am doing all I can to make sure he is safe, loved, and happy, but I need help to give him this surgery so he can live a full, pain-free life. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make an enormous difference for both of us.
