Last winter, I was involved in a crash when I slipped on the ice. It was a freak accident—I swerved to avoid hitting an oncoming vehicle and ended up sliding into a patch of ice, which caused me to crash. Since then, my truck hasn’t been running, and it’s made life much more difficult. My truck is essential for my livelihood, and without it, I’ve been missing out on hours at job sites I can’t reach, and I’ve lost opportunities to take on odd jobs that would help supplement my income.


Transportation has become a daily challenge. I’ve had to rely on Ubers, which are getting expensive, and rides from friends who aren’t always available. All this time without my truck is costing me more money than I would be paying if I had it back on the road. Considering my other expenses, it’s been hard to come up with the funds to repair the truck. I did manage to secure the parts I need, but now I need to pay a mechanic to do the work. My money has been tied up with paying for Uber rides and other necessities, making things more difficult overall.


Getting my truck fixed will help me get to work at my current job more efficiently and allow me to accept work from other sources.
