In order to keep my job as a security officer, I need to obtain a guard card, which is required by law in Hawaii. I was working without one, but my employer let me go without any notice. Suddenly, I found myself without income and no warning to prepare. The bills keep coming, and now I also have to cover the cost of getting the guard card so I can return to work. This situation has left me feeling anxious and uncertain, but I am determined to get back on my feet as quickly as possible.
The funds raised will go directly toward the various fees and expenses involved in getting my guard card, as well as keeping my phone active, which is essential for my job. They will also help with household expenses, since my wife and I have a young son who is in school. As any parent knows, there are always unexpected costs that come up with a school-aged child, and I want to make sure my family is taken care of during this difficult time. If I can get the application process started, I should be able to return to work right away, but it will still be a couple of weeks before I receive my first paycheck.
Asking for help is not easy for me. I am a proud and self-supporting person, and I often donate to others in need, so being on the other side is difficult. I would be incredibly grateful for any support, and I promise to pay it forward as soon as I am able. The people of Hawaii are known for their aloha spirit, and I am so thankful to be part of this community. On behalf of my family and myself, I say 'Aloha and mahalo nui loa,' and may God bless you for your kindness.
