Help Me Get Back to Nursing School After Family Loss
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cedar, and I’m a nursing student doing everything I can to keep moving forward toward my dream. Nursing isn’t just a career—it’s something I feel deeply called to. It’s my purpose, and I’ve worked hard to stay on track despite every curveball life’s thrown.
This summer, I’ve been living and working in Montana with my boyfriend; Coby during break. But not long ago, I lost my cousin unexpectedly—a tragedy that brought me back to Kentucky for the funeral and to be with family. After returning to Montana to try and get back to work, I ended up with COVID, and subsequentlylosing my job because of the time I had to take off.
Now I’m in a tight spot. I have to be back in Kentucky by August 11th to start the fall semester, but I no longer have the income to get myself there. I’m asking for help to cover the cost of making the trip and securing housing when I arrive. Anything you can contribute—whether it’s $5 or a share—makes a difference.
Breakdown of Costs:
Gas (from Montana to Kentucky in a Silverado): ~$500
Budget Lodging (2 nights minimum): ~$250
Food during travel: ~$100
First month of rent + deposit upon arrival: ~$600
Emergency cushion for car or health needs along the way: ~$550
Total Goal: $2,000
Grief is already heavy enough—I don’t want it to also be the reason I fall behind in school. Nursing is more than just a plan for me, it’s my passion. I won’t give up on it.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, or supporting in any way. It truly means the world.
