Help me get back to independent transportation!
Donation protected
**UPDATED 9/29/23**
I am beyond grateful for every cent that has been so generously donated to Jessica and I during this time. It is humbling to see so many people expressing their care for us through their words, prayers, and through donations.
My initial research into the hand controls indicated that they would cost around $1,200 plus the cost of install. Turns out, I was very wrong. After I paid $618 for the assessment and received my prescription, I was provided a quote for the equipment and install that came to $3,646.76 (see screenshot of quote). Combined with the assessment, my out of pocket cost came to $4,264.76. I am adjusting the goal to $4,000 in an effort to help cover the remainder of the hand controls and soften this unexpected financial blow.
If you are not in a spot to donate, PLEASE consider sharing this with others! Thank you all so much for your love and support.

Hey y’all! Two years ago, I lost my left foot due to complications from an injury. Unfortunately, I also lost the battle in trying to keep my right foot. It was amputated last week (Sept 13, 2023).
I will not be eligible for a prosthetic leg on my right side for a few months while I heal from surgery. Luckily, my health insurance covers the new leg. They do not cover the hand controls for my truck that will allow me to return to driving to work, appointments, etc. Since my wife works full time as well, I am hoping to regain my independence with driving.
The hand controls that would best suit my needs and that are of good reliable quality cost about $1,200 for the hardware, alone. The assessment and installation is additional and not covered by insurance. I am seeking assistance in covering even just a portion of this cost.
If you or anyone you know is willing to help, even with just a couple dollars, it would be greatly appreciated and would help us not feel such a financial impact in the wake of losing my second leg.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you’d like to discuss.
Thank you so much for considering and God bless!
