It wasn’t one simple thing that led me here. As most know, the path of life isn’t a straight line—it’s a series of choices, twists, and turns. I’m so grateful to all of those who helped me get here, and I look forward to paying it forward or giving back to those who supported me!
However, my current situation has a few holes, and so I’m here in hopes there are people out there willing to see past my flaws and offer me support.
They don’t tell you what it’s like losing a car after years together. Rest in peace to my 2012 Hyundai Sonata! That car was so good to me, even though there were a few mechanical complications—lots of things got replaced (some things twice)—but all in all, it lasted quite some time. I made it just over six years with that car, but it’s with a heavy heart that I say December 29 was its last official drive. My brakes were on the fritz, but I didn’t realize how bad because I hadn’t done any serious traveling, just 3 miles to work, 4 miles to church and back. On the 29th, I was on my way to pick up my brother-in-law when there was a car stopped ahead of me. I attempted to brake but was unsuccessful. Now, both I and the girl I hit are without a car. The list of things I need to find solutions for is just growing every day.
I’ve been working at a fast food restaurant for the past six years, and I live with my sister, brother-in-law, and 12-year-old niece. Having reliable transportation is essential for me to keep my job and continue supporting my family. The funds raised here will help me put a down payment on a new car, catch up on bills, and cover insurance costs. These steps are essential for me to get back on my feet, return to work, and support those who have helped me along the way. I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me so far, and I’m reaching out in hopes that others can see past my flaws and offer support during this difficult time. Any help is deeply appreciated and will make a real difference in my life.
