About two years ago, I found my groove doing gig delivery work, and life was rolling—literally. It let me give back to the Slab City community with free meals, while also funding my comedy outings and Disneyland adventures. But six months ago, my car’s transmission threw in the towel. To stay in the game, I rented a car through Uber and Hertz—$300 a week, ouch, but I made it work for six months.
Then the wrench in the wheel: to continue renting, you need a 4.90 driver rating, and I was sitting at 4.89. Close, but no cigar. Now, I’m stuck without wheels and unable to work. My credit union is ready to finance me—if I can meet some tough conditions. That’s where you come in.
I’m raising funds for a down payment on a vehicle. With your help, I’ll be back delivering meals, making meals for my community, have some laughs, and yes— plotting my next Disney trip. Let’s turn this detour into a comeback ride!
