I am a caregiver, and I take care of the elderly and people with Dementia. This is my life, and I truly love what I do. It is so gratifying to know that I can provide some normalcy for my clients and their loved ones. My work gives families the option to keep their loved ones in their own homes, rather than having to move them into a facility. Being able to make a difference in their lives is something I cherish every day.
Recently, I faced an unexpected challenge. On my way to a client's house, my car started jumping and hesitating, and eventually, it just wouldn't move. I was stranded on the side of the road for a while, but thankfully, I managed to get home safely. After having my car towed to a transmission shop, I learned that the transmission was completely gone. The cost to repair it is more than I can afford right now, and before the shop can even start, they need a significant deposit. While I have managed to gather some of the money, I'm struggling to cover the rest, especially since I'm now relying on Uber to get to work, which is adding to my expenses.
I'm reaching out for help so I can get my car repaired and continue doing the work I love—caring for those who need it most. Any support would mean the world to me and help me get back on the road to continue making a difference in my clients' lives. Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting caregivers like me.
