I was driving to Grand Rapids with my mom and boyfriend to see a Chinese lantern festival when something unexpected happened—my car’s third cylinder dropped. The mechanic has looked at my car and believes it’s worth saving, which gives me hope, but the cost of a new engine is more than I can manage on my own right now.
