Help Me Get Back on the Road: Restarting My Waste Collection

Hello everyone,

My name is Nannette, and I’m writing this on behalf of my husband, Ross. Just three weeks ago, he took a huge leap of faith and followed his dream of starting his own small business—a waste collection service here in Huddersfield, called Beeline Waste.

Ross has worked tirelessly to make this happen. He invested everything he had into buying a reliable van and then spent countless hours modifying it, converting it into a tipper so it could handle the heavy 1-ton bags he uses for collections. He poured his time, energy, and creativity into planning and designing the branding so that his business would stand out. From late nights sketching ideas to hands-on work with the van, he gave it everything.

This wasn’t just a job to Ross—it was his dream of independence, of building something for our family and community. In just three short weeks, he was already seeing it grow: gaining regular customers, getting amazing feedback, and proving that his vision could work.

But everything changed overnight. Last night, Ross’s van—the very heart of his business—was stolen from outside our home. Along with it went the tools and equipment he relies on daily. The police are investigating, but right now, Ross’s business has come to a complete stop.

Without a van, Ross can’t carry out collections, keep commitments to his customers, or continue building the business he worked so hard to start.

We are asking for help to raise £5000 so Ross can replace the van, buy the essential equipment he needs, and get Beeline Waste back on the road. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping him recover from this setback and continue building the business he dreamed of.
