Hello Everyone,

I am in a very difficult situation due to a tree falling on my new (to me) car and totaling it leaving me without a vehicle and still owing money on the destroyed car.

After my ex left me without a vehicle in December I spent several months getting to and from work on an electric scooter, saving up everything I could, and managed to put together the funds to put a down payment on a used vehicle to get me to and from the new job I accepted. I had that car for about 4 months when last week the top of a tree fell through the windshield during a storm and punctured the dash ruining vital interior components.

The insurance company has totaled my vehicle, and the amount they are offering me won't even cover the remainder of the loan, let alone a down payment to purchase a new one. This also happened 3 days after I had used all of my savings to get myself through a move, leaving me at a complete loss. This has put me in a very challenging financial position, without a means of travel to get to and from my job, or even a way to get to the grocery store to purchase groceries on my own.

I am asking for your help to get myself a new vehicle and/ or cover the remainder of the loan on the original vehicle insurance has totaled and undervalued. I have set the total goal for an amount that would completely cover both, however, any amount that is contributed would assist me in at least getting into a new car to allow me to get to work to try to cover these expenses.
