Hi everyone,
My name is Dalaney Gutierrez, and I’m reaching out for help during a really tough time. On October 22, my car unexpectedly caught fire and burned down. Thankfully, I’m safe — but unfortunately, my car is a total loss.
This car meant so much to me. It’s been in my family for years and has been mine for the past five. Losing it was heartbreaking, but beyond the emotional loss, it’s also created a serious challenge for me. I rely on having a vehicle to get to both school and work, which are each about 40 minutes away from where I live.
The area I live in doesn’t have reliable public transportation, bike lanes, or other options that make commuting possible without a car. Without transportation, I’m struggling to keep up with my responsibilities — and I have a lot of them.
I currently work three jobs: in retail, serving (sometimes until midnight), and marketing, along with an internship. On top of that, I attend the University of Houston, where I’m studying Business Marketing. I also serve as the Marketing Director for a student organization, which requires me to be present at weekly meetings and events.
I’m working hard to stay on top of everything and plan to sell whatever parts I can from my car while continuing to work as much as possible. But as a college student already paying off school expenses, saving up for a reliable vehicle on my own will take a long time.
I’m not looking for anything brand new — just enough to buy a dependable used car from Facebook Marketplace so I can keep up with my work, classes, and commitments.
Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to me. Your help would bring me one step closer to stability and getting back to my daily routine.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story, share, or donate. ❤️
Every bit of support helps more than you know.
