Hi, my name is Gabriella Reid, and I’m currently going through a really difficult and overwhelming time in my life.

I recently experienced a sudden onset neurological condition called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which has completely changed my day-to-day life. I was hospitalized for a week, and since then I’ve been dealing with ongoing symptoms like tremors, I've been given a walker, along with being on multiple medications as I try to stabilize.

Before this happened, I was here for the Co-op refinery shutdown in Regina, ready to work, but due to my condition I am currently unable to work. This has put me in a very difficult financial position very quickly.

On top of everything, I’m away from my family right now. My son is in Winnipeg, and I had to miss his birthday because of my hospitalization, which has been incredibly hard.

I’m doing everything I can to get the medical support I need and work toward recovery, but right now I need help to get through this period with some stability.

Funds raised will go toward:

•⁠ ⁠Basic living expenses (rent, food, essentials)

•⁠ ⁠Medical and mental health support

•⁠ ⁠Transportation and daily needs

This is not easy for me to share, but I’m trying to be honest and ask for help when I need it.

Due to my recent diagnosis of a non-epileptic neurological condition (FND), my driver’s license was taken, and I’ve been unable to verify my identity through the app. Because of this, the fundraiser may show that funds are going to Stefan Smith. He is a trusted person in my life who I’ve added to help manage the setup, but all funds are for my direct support during this time.
