Help me fix my vehicle so I can find my way back home

I came to Texas just over a month ago for a work camp position that ended up being a hoax. What should've taken 23 hrs ended up being a 5-day trip due to a transmission issue in my then vehicle. It was overheating, causing us to have to stop every 2-3 hrs and allow it to cool enough to try to keep going. I couldn't go over 50 on the highway; stressful situation would've been an understatement.

So when I made it, I found a shop guy with a van who was willing to trade me the Jeep plus $500 for this van. He said the only thing it needed was a new fuel pump. I made the deal trusting his word due to his job title. I replaced the fuel pump along with the starter, distributor cap and rotors, spark plugs, fuses, and relays, and cleaned all the grounds. Spending well over $500 on parts I didn't need.

I'm now stranded in Texas, broke and alone, trying to get the funds together in order to put it in the shop, get it taken care of, and head back north to go home. I've called all the churches and non-profits in the area trying to find help, and unfortunately, nobody has the funding at this time. Doing this was my last resort, and I'm just praying at this point for a little help from y'all. I'm well and truly stressed, and if I can't get this fixed, it will be towed, and I will end up on the streets of Austin. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
