When I was 15 years old, I rescued a tiny, timid cat who would become one of the most important companions in my life. For nearly 11 years, Mia has been by my side through every stage of growing up. She has always been gentle, affectionate in her quiet way, and deeply bonded to me.

Over the last two months, everything has changed. Mia has faced multiple medical scares. What began as a urinary tract infection and bladder stones quickly turned into something more complicated. I have already spent upwards of $2,000 on emergency visits, testing, medication, specialized food and treatment just trying to stabilize her and understand what’s happening.

Despite treatment, she is no longer herself. She is in visible pain, has developed extreme anxiety, and is no longer living the calm, sweet life she once had. Watching her struggle without clear answers has been heartbreaking.

Veterinarians believe she now needs further diagnostic testing and specialist investigations to determine the underlying cause. These tests are costly, and after the last two months of mounting bills, I have reached a point where I cannot continue to cover everything alone.

I am not asking for anything beyond the chance to give Mia clarity, relief, and comfort.
