Hey everyone,

My name is Daxia Wiebers, I’m 21 years old. I’m originally from the Netherlands, but I recently moved to England to continue developing myself as a dancer and performer. I’ve been training to become a professional dancer since I was 12, and I’ve always done everything I can to grow and pursue my dreams.

Unfortunately, about three years ago, my body started to fail me. I began experiencing regular epileptic seizures, loss of function on the right side of my body, and difficulties with eating, walking, and even speaking. Since then, my life has changed drastically.

After years of doctor appointments, hospital examinations, emergency visits, admissions, and setbacks, no one has been able to give me clear answers. Conditions involving the brain are incredibly complex, and despite all the tests, we are still searching for a diagnosis.

At the same time, I’m still a young person who wants to enjoy life; studying, spending time with friends, traveling, and simply living the life I’ve worked so hard for. My amazing mom has been doing everything she can to support me and make this possible. However, with all the medical costs and medications, we are reaching a financial limit.

There are very long waiting lists for EEG scans, which are crucial for understanding what’s happening in my brain. The only way to get one sooner is through private care, but the costs are very high.

That’s why I’ve decided to start this GoFundMe. I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, if anyone is willing to support us in getting the answers and care I so desperately need.
