Help Me Get an Electric Wheelchair
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Alice.
I’m 35 years old, a mum to three young children, and currently on a journey of healing from ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), ADHD, trauma, and addiction recovery.
Over the last couple of years, my life has changed in ways I never imagined. After years of pushing through relentless exhaustion, confusion, and pain, I was finally diagnosed with ADHD in 2023 — and then ME/CFS in 2024.
For the first time, I started to truly understand my body and mind. But along with that understanding came a difficult truth: I had to slow down and adapt to a life I never thought I’d be living.
Right now, most of my days are spent in bed or on the sofa. My body simply can’t keep up — and as hard as that is for me, it’s even harder knowing my children are missing out on a mum who can experience life alongside them, not just from the sidelines.
That’s why I’m reaching out for help. I’m fundraising to buy an electric wheelchair — a chair that would give me the freedom to leave the house and make memories with my children again.
With your support, I would be able to:
• Take my kids to the park
• Join them for school runs and nature walks • Show up at their activities and be part of their memories
• Reconnect with my community
• And slowly start rebuilding a life outside of my four walls
This isn’t about giving up — it’s about adapting. It’s about choosing to live fully in the body I have now, rather than mourning the one I lost. It’s about finding joy, movement, and freedom again.
If you’re able to contribute, share, or even just offer a few kind words, it would mean more than you know.
Every bit of support brings me one step closer to independence — and a life worth waking up for.
Thank you for being part of my story.
With love, Alice
