Help me get a replacement Mac mini

Hi, my name is Christopher Snowhill, or kode54, and I am looking to buy a replacement Mac mini. I did my dad a favor and gave him my original M1 Mac mini, to replace the aging 2013 21.9" iMac I got him in 2014. Now I need another Mac to work on my software.

I would like this new Mac mini to have at least 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. So I am targeting a goal of $1000 USD. If possible, I would also like to get the M2 Pro model instead, but that would require at least another $300 USD.

It will be at least until May before I have a more significant increase in available funds, so any help I can get making my purchase before then would help me get into the work again and maintaining my Mac software, namely Cog, the audio player.
