Help Me Get a Reliable Truck for My Home & Health

For the last 10 years, my Nissan Rogue has been reliable, but it’s reached the point where passing inspection will require major repairs. Even then, it still wouldn’t be able to tow my camper. Two years ago, after receiving a settlement from a work accident that left me disabled, I purchased a used SUV hoping to solve that problem. Unfortunately, that vehicle turned into a series of major failures shortly after purchase—rear differential, transmission, and then a blown head gasket. Between repairs and warranty issues, I lost a significant amount on that vehicle alone. Trying to recover, I traded that SUV (plus cash) to a so-called friend for his Ram 1500 that was supposed to be roadworthy. Within weeks, it also failed inspection due to severe frame rust and was only suitable for parts. The person I traded with agreed—in writing—to complete the remaining repairs on my Nissan in exchange for the truck. After starting the work, he disappeared entirely, leaving me without the vehicle, the repairs, or any way to recover what was lost. All told, I’m out a large sum over the last 2 years, and I’m back where I started—with a car that needs expensive work and can’t tow my camper, which I live in. I’m currently on SSDI due to my injury, and while I’m grateful for what I do have, it doesn’t leave much room for setbacks like this. At this point, putting more money into a high-mileage car that still won’t meet my needs doesn’t make sense. I regularly see reliable used trucks capable of towing my camper, and with taxes and title, that would give me a dependable solution. Having a reliable truck would allow me to get to doctor appointments and physical therapy, travel to see my son and grandkids, handle basic daily needs like groceries and supplies, and maintain some stability while living with a disability.
Thank you

I do sell artwork and paintings, and I’ll continue doing that, but it’s a slow process. I’m sharing this to ask if anyone knows of programs, organizations, or resources that help disabled individuals with transportation—or advice on responsible ways to raise funds without burdening others. I truly appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this or share ideas.
