For a long time, I've considered receiving a surgery that would dramatically impact my quality of life. I finally decided to go ahead with it, and after spending weeks going through the necessary requirements to get approved for insurance coverage, I learned that my insurance is unexpectedly switching in 2019. The surgery is scheduled for early 2019, and I tried to see if I could move it to happen before the end of 2018, but I couldn't. With the change in insurance, I will have to pay at least 6 times more than I had planned for this surgery. There are a lot of things about the surgery that scare me, and it would be a huge weight off my shoulders if I didn't have to stress about paying for my portion of the surgery.
