As a 17 year old who lives with severe dizziness, migraines, anxiety, and ADHD has made everyday life a real challenge for me. There are days when I can’t go out in public alone because my anxiety becomes overwhelming, and my dizziness can be so intense that I have to sit down immediately to avoid falling. The migraines I experience are debilitating, and it’s hard to predict when they’ll strike. My ADHD also causes me to space out or lose focus, which can make things even more difficult. All of this has made it hard to feel safe and independent.

A service dog would be truly life-changing for me. With a trained companion by my side, I would feel safer in public and have support during my worst moments. The dog could help prevent me from injuring myself when I get dizzy, provide comfort during meltdowns, and offer the steady presence I need to get through tough days. I could also rely on the dog for specific tasks, like pulling to help me when I’m disoriented or spaced out due to ADHD, and offering comfort when my anxiety or migraines become too much to handle.
