A year ago, I was officially diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis, but in reality, I’ve been living with the effects for much longer. The condition has made it necessary for me to use a wheelchair to get around. When I started medication and exercise, I was hopeful that I’d be able to move beyond needing the wheelchair every day, but that hasn’t happened yet. Over the past year, I’ve tried to make do by purchasing inexpensive wheelchairs online, but they simply aren’t built for everyday use or for someone my size. They wear out quickly, and I find myself having to replace them far too often.
Having a more durable, well-built wheelchair would make a huge difference in my life. It would allow me to be more independent and active, and I wouldn’t have to worry about my chair breaking down or needing constant replacement. The right wheelchair would give me more freedom and peace of mind, helping me live a more fulfilled and active life.
I know everyone faces their own challenges, and I always try to meet mine head on. But a friend once told me to never be ashamed to ask for help when you need it. So that’s what I’m doing now—reaching out for support. Every little bit, even the smallest amount, would help me take a big step toward greater independence and a better quality of life. Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer.
