Help Me Get a Car and Keep My Family Together

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emma, and I’m a mother of two beautiful girls, I’m writing this in a moment of deep vulnerability and courage — . I wasn’t sure I’d ever do this — ask for help online — but I’ve reached the point where there’s just no other road left unless someone gives me a lift, literally and figuratively.
because I’ve run out of options.
I’m currently fighting for custody of my youngest daughter and trying to comply with overwhelming court demands that I simply can’t meet without reliable transportation. I’ve been told I could face fines, jail time, or even the loss of custody — not because I’m unfit, but because I’m too poor to own a working vehicle. ( I have a sitting Honda odyssey that needs a new engine )
The father moved 100 miles away, and the court expects me to handle round-trip transportation — often 400 miles or more per month, not including his possible move to Eau Claire (wi) 264 miles away to be with his new family and expected baby due Jan 2026.

Without a car, that becomes an impossible demand.
I’ve done everything I can:
Borrowing rides and walking ( but winter is coming)
Attending court hearings, appointments and required events
Managing all of this while pregnant, unsupported, and determined to protect my children
But I can’t do it anymore without help.

Why I Need a Vehicle:
This isn’t just about custody exchanges — I need a reliable car to:
• Travel safely across long distances for court-ordered exchanges
• Take my children to school, appointments, and errands
• Prepare for labor and safely deliver my newborn
• Give my family the basic mobility most people take for granted

️What the funds will be used for:
I’m hoping to raise enough to get a reliable vehicle that can handle court-ordered exchanges (over 400 miles a month), school drop-offs, doctor visits, and labor transport.
Ideally, I’m aiming for around $4,500–$5,000 to cover:
• A dependable used car
• Registration, insurance, and upkeep
• Gas and upkeep (especially for long trips)
• Baby essentials and emergency needs
In the worst-case scenario, if I can at least raise $3,000, that would allow me to put a down payment on a vehicle I could finance through a payment plan. I’ve looked at all my options, and this would still let me move forward — just in a different way.
I would plan to use my child support payments to cover monthly installments, which, let’s be real, is meant to help care for my child and if a safe vehicle is what allows me to protect them, transport them, and fulfill court requirements, then that’s exactly what it’s doing.
Whether it’s $5 or a share, you’re helping me get back on the road, back to court, and back to doing what I do best:
being a mama to my babies.

Why I’m Asking for Help:
Because this situation punishes poverty, not bad parenting.
Because I’ve been holding it all together with tape and prayers.
Because I believe there are still people who care enough to say: She deserves a fighting chance.
Even a few dollars, a share, or a kind word means more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Emma Chrysanthi
