Help me raise the budget for my senior thesis film, Like Milk!
From stop-motion animation to short films with friends to film school, film making has been a part of my life for forever. As my time in college comes to a close, it is time to create my senior thesis film, and I am asking YOU: friends, family, and fellow film enthusiasts to help!
Investing in Like Milk is an investment in my education and future! This film is a part of my degree plan and a jumping-off-point for my professional life in the film industry.
The Project
Something supernatural is occurring at the Winthrop’s farmhouse in Like Milk, a dark and twisted coming-of-age story set in the 1950's Midwest. When Colby, a homebody, decides to marry the woman he is courting, he leaves home. Returning, Colby is left in shambles, finding his parents... changed.
Inspirations for this film includes The Twilight Zone (1959) and No Country For Old Men (2007).
Like Milk will film September 17th - 24th and premiere in May 2026!
Our Team, Resources, and Goals
I am a student, but this is not my first film! I have been blessed to work with my friends on a bunch of films!
Here are some images from films I have worked on!:
Say When (I did the writing and lighting for this horror film. AJ Macaro, the production designer on Like Milk, crafted the sets and props!)
The Reservation (I was the cinematographer on this film! It features the talented Emily Creason and Caleb Nuzum!)
Broke Santa (I wrote, directed, and shot this film! And I got to act across from the talented Scotty Sharpe!)
You’ve seen some of what we can do! Now we want to scale that up.
Like Milk will be shot on a high-end RED V-Raptor 8k cinema camera with a professional lighting kit and sound kit provided through my tuition at Liberty University’s film school. This is an immense privilege, and I want to make the most of it by matching the quality of the sets, costumes, makeup, props, and more to the quality of the gear we get to use!
We have a fantastic crew of students with feature film experience and a host of short films under our belts!
We need to hit our goal of $5,000 by September 17th, 2025!
Here is a breakdown of our budget:
- $1800 for food and water for 13 cast and crew members over 8 days.
- $900 for SFX Makeup Artist and Makeup Materials.
- $800 for crew housing.
- $750 for set furnishing and design.
- $600 for costumes and props.
- $150 for headroom when things cost more than planned!
(These are production costs and do not include post production!)
Any gift you give to the film brings us closer to being funded!
