Help Me Fund My Pre-Vet Trip to Study Abroad in South Africa

Hi everyone,

My name is Ryan, I am a student at Rowan University and for as long as I can remember, my dream has been to work with wildlife. It’s more than a passion, it's who I am. Animals have always brought me a sense of peace and purpose, I have my sights set on becoming a zoological veterinarian and wildlife biologist, I want to dedicate my life to helping them live healthier, happier lives.

Becoming a veterinarian is no easy path. It requires vet school, which is not only competitive but also demanding. I’ve worked hard to prepare for this journey, but I know that standing out will take more than just good grades. That’s why I’m so excited to share an opportunity I’ve been given: I’ve been accepted into a pre-vet program in South Africa, where I’ll spend 16 days working at a zoo, learning hands-on from veterinary professionals, and gaining invaluable experience caring for animals.

This program is more than a chance to travel, it‘s a life-changing opportunity to grow as a future vet. I’ll be waking up early each day to meet the animals’ needs and study alongside experts at the zoo. It’s the kind of experience that will prepare me for the future I’ve always dreamed of.
