Hello, I'm Frankie and I'm 20. I have ASD, ADHD, Anxiety and depression as well as chronic pain and fatigue. Over summer I had open ankle surgery with metal hardware put into my fibula. This along with pre-existing mental and physical health problems really pushed me to take a chance and try to get a dog.
I have always been around dogs my entire life, and have spent years researching, waiting for the perfect time to welcome home the dog I so desperately need for my wellbeing and independence. My life became more and more difficult and due to being disabled I struggle to generate enough income for the initial lump costs of getting a dog.
But recently, something changed. I found a gorgeous puppy, a little cocker spaniel boy. His parents and dogs from his family tree have been successful therapy dogs and assistance dogs, and he has an excellent temperament and shows promise as a prospect. It would mean so much to me to finally bring home a beloved dog, and to start my journey with training and growing to be a strong handler/assistance dog team.
The puppy costs £550, with £125 as the deposit to secure him. I also need to acquire the various items you need for a dog (crate, bed, toys, food, collar/leashes etc). In addition to this I need to pay for his training program and insurance.
I would be so incredibly grateful if anybody has the money to spare, even just £1 towards this goal could change my life for the better and bring so much joy.
If, hopefully, I am able to bring home this puppy I will be posting frequent updates on social media so everyone who has donated would be able to see our journey together and how much your donation has supported it all. ✨
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope to bring positive news that I am able to bring him home soon.
