I have never been one to ask for other people’s help but I could really use it. I have Cystic Fibrosis, which is a terrible lung disease but generally I manage it well. A few years back they developed this miracle drug, Trikafta. Once I started the medicine my breathing got all the way up to 74%! Which is pretty good for a person with CF. (Normal person is about 100-120%) I’m currently sitting at 40%.. Unfortunately, even with the most expensive insurance plan through work.. my copay for Trikafta is $10k. I now have it worked out with grant programs that if I can meet my deductible of $4500, I can start my medicine back! I’m being admitted to UAMS 1/9/26 for two weeks for a round of IV antibiotics to control this lung infection I have. Times are hard for everyone and I get that, but without my medicine - the closer I get to having the lung transplant talk with my doctor. If you are able to help in any way I would appreciate it more than you know.
