Hi, my name is Ethan Brown, and I’m a 24-year-old Great Britain 400m sprinter. I’ve had the honour of representing my country at the highest levels, winning a silver medal at the U18 European Championships and a bronze as part of the U23 relay team.
But for the past 4½ years, I’ve been stuck on the sidelines with a chronic Achilles injury. I’ve tried everything—physio, shockwave therapy, plasma injections, even high-volume injections—but nothing has brought lasting relief.
Now, after seeing multiple specialists, I finally have a real path forward: surgery that could fix the issue and give me a shot at returning to the sport I love—and to my dream of competing at the Olympics.
But the surgery comes with a cost: £9,000. As an unfunded athlete, that’s an amount I simply can’t cover on my own. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Your donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward the procedure and the rehab I need to get back on track. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you for any support you can give.
