Help Me Fund A New Life With My Own Apartment

Hi. My name is Charles Swanson the Second. I'd like to take a moment to explain my situation.

 

Back at the start of 2021 I raised funds to fund the funeral of my father, and with your aid I was able to succeed in funding it completely. However, my life started to fall apart almost immediately.

 

After my father's funeral, my mother moved in with me and brought a pair of strangers into our lives that turned it upside-down. Swindling and conniving, one of them was; the other, a decent fellow but not the kind of man to push your luck with.

We dropped the swindler, and as fallout, lost our home. We had to move in with the other one, and things were going decently... Until the house he was renting was bought by a new owner from the old owner, and not choosing to continue paying rent, he and my mother looked elsewhere for lodgings.

They left me alone in the house for six months to get things sorted out for a move and never came back. I'd been there the entire Fall and Winter season of 2022, freezing to the bone every night. The included photos of this fundraiser is an example of my living situation during that time.


I had no power, no running water (the water company had gone so far as to fill the water meter with concrete), and what food I had I couldn't cook or heat because of how cold it was and not having any utilities.



This is just some of the hell they left me in. They never even cleaned up after themselves, and took the cleaning supplies with them. I really don't want to go back to that situation again, but I need your help to do so.

 

I'm in a temporary home situation now, in Charlotte, NC, but I need money raised for my first month's rent, my utilities, the security deposit, and my groceries. Anything would help a lot. Even just spreading the word is a great and fantastic boon to me.

 

This is well & truly my first time on my own. With stable housing, I can get a leg up as far as transit and jobs go and be able to work at my own pace. Please, help me out; I'm a decent fellow looking to start from scratch, because I've been at the bottom of the barrel now and realize there's nowhere to go but 'up' from here.
