Hi! My name is Dylan Webster! I'm a 15-year-old Astrophotographer from Ontario, Canada. I started this hobby in 2019 and have built a setup with the limited funds that I have been able to spend. My number 1 goal and my passion is to inspire people to learn and look up into the vast universe, no matter where they are located! I love to get out under the night sky and produce images that inspire and pictures that I can teach about, and I want to inspire others to do the same!

Unfortunately, the limited funds I have don't allow me to produce a reliable and robust setup, which is why I'm here! I am passionate about doing community outreach and inspiring and teaching others about the universe and this fantastic hobby, but my setup limits me. My setup doesn't always work. In fact, my telescope and mount aren't designed for what I want to do, which makes setting up and imaging slow and difficult. My goal is to have a robust setup that runs smoothly and gives consistent results, something my current setup cannot do. I've struggled with my setup, and I'd like to change that, but I need some help.

I want to focus on inspiring others and teaching about this hobby and our universe, and I would like to focus my efforts on community outreach and through social media. I plan to start an Astronomy Club at my high school and host star parties and gatherings during and outside school hours. I'd love to inspire other young minds to look up at the night sky, learn about it and learn how to capture it, observe it, and study it or just for enjoyment! The night sky is for everyone, and I hope to inspire other young minds and even adults to enjoy it! I need a reliable setup to be able to teach and observe the universe. I cannot afford such a setup, and I need your help to do what I'm genuinely passionate about. I hope the goal for this can be reached. It would mean so much to me! My current goal is to afford a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro EQ Mount, a Celestron Edge HD 8" SCT Telescope, and possibly other accessories such as an electronic filter wheel and electronic focuser depending on how well this fundraiser works out. I'm hoping to be able to build a reliable, robust setup that can function adequately with ease to deliver the best results! I’m planning to make a fresh new setup! I’m hoping to sell my current telescope and mount to help fund this project!
