Hi, my name's Alexandre, but everybody calls me Alex. I'm a 14 years old student. I am autistic. I often struggle with social situations or interacting with people in general. My family help, but it can often feel lonely. I've been struggling to make friends that understand me, and I'm trying my best to improve my social skills. Despite this, I have quite an interest in history and language. Now, through my school, theres an opportunity to do a trip to Costa Rica, in 2027, (accompanied by a school tutor) which will give me an opportunity to work with different people from different countries. My spanish is quite good and it would be fun to try it in a spanish speaking country. The trip will be done through Camps International, who make trips like this accessible to everyone, including me, where I'll be working with people in camps to help the environment and work with the local people.

Going on this trip would help me with more social experiences and would allow me to practice my love of languages. Even though i'm autistic, I can still help make a difference and interact with all sorts of new people.
