Hi, my name is David.

A few years ago my life changed dramatically after a severe accident that left me with life-changing injuries. Since then I have gone through many surgeries and a long rehabilitation process. Doctors, therapists and friends have helped me take step by step back toward a functioning life.

One of the most difficult consequences of the accident is the loss and severe damage to my nose. Reconstructing it requires complex surgical procedures that must be done in several stages by specialized surgeons.

Unfortunately my accident insurance has now stopped covering further procedures. Their decision is that the reconstruction is not considered necessary for survival, even though it is essential for breathing, function, appearance and for allowing me to return to a normal life.

This leaves me in a very difficult position. The reconstruction surgeries are extremely expensive, and without them I will live with both functional problems and a visible reminder of the trauma.

That is why I am asking for help.

The funds raised here will go directly toward:

• reconstructive nose surgery

• medical procedures and hospital costs

• follow-up treatments and rehabilitation

My goal is simple: to regain basic function, confidence, and the possibility to move forward with my life.
