UPDATE: I am devastated to tell you all that my mother and family in PA have gone against my father's wish to be buried and just had him cremated - without giving me ANY NOTICE OR HEADS UP OR ANY TIME TO FLY DOWN AND SEE HIM ONE LAST TIME. Funds will now be used to ensure that he can rest in the Arlington cemetery, even if it is his ashes. He at least deserves to have some of his wishes brought true. Thank you for your support.

I'm Hiera. My dad (59) has suddenly passed away from an overdose on Sept. 1.

I currently live in TX and my dad died in our home state (PA). I don't have enough money to fly out for his funeral or to see my family, and my grandma says the service planning and funding falls onto me as his child. I don't even know where to start, but I'm going to need help. Anything helps.

He wanted to be buried at the Arlington VA cemetary

There were three other men there as he died, who ran off before the police arrived. Foul play is highly suspected, and one of the men supposedly threatened to kill my father, saying he wanted to kill him two weeks before his passing on Sept. 1. My dad called my mom only two weeks ago, telling her to write down the name (which I'm not sure I can state here yet) and told her exactly what my mom told me - that he requested she write down this name in case anything happens to him. As of now this is all we know. He would've been 60 this October. I didn't get to see my dad since last year, and now I'll never get to see him ever again. I miss him so much. I hope he's in a better place.
