When it rains, it pours, out of the frying pan, into the fire, stuck between a rock and a hard place. Whatever you call it, I'm there. See, about seven years ago, I developed some joint pain that wouldn't go away. Finally, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I was a little skeptical of this diagnosis. Then, about two years ago, it happened. palmoplanter pustular psoriasis attacked me. First, I thought I had a strange rash on my hands. I showed it to my G.P. and she told me to show it to my rheumatologist. I didn't think much of it. Then, the tiny white dots grew and joined together and hardened and caused me some of the worst pain I'd ever experienced. It attacked my hands, my feet, my finger and toenails. Then, it got worse. I developed plaque psoriasis too. It attacked my scalp, ears, upper arms, lower back, abdomen, thighs, shins and ankles.

About 18 months ago, I left my job. I've managed to support myself using savings, retirement, etc. Now, I'm tapped out. And, to top it off, my disability claim was denied yesterday, so now on to the appeal, working with an attorney, etc. In the midst of this, Trixie was diagnosed with a nasty bladder infection followed by bladder stones (and surgery) and finally with vulvar cancer. We opted not to do chemo, but instead chose to try a mixture of Chinese herbs and anti-inflamatories. She is doing very well with this ($100/month) treatment, but we know it's only a matter of time.

So it comes down to this. I'm out of money, I've tapped and retapped every one of my resources, and I can find no other solution than to ask everyone for a little help. I'm sorry for asking. I hate asking. But, I need help, Trixie needs help too.
