Hello to anyone who may read this. I am a science teacher at a small high school in Michigan. A couple of years ago, I purchased my first car ever on my own (my dad, may he rest in peace) was a used car dealer and I always seem to have some junker of a car to keep me going.
Sadly, I'm 2015 Ford Edge, my new baby, needs to have her transmission rebuilt. The shop I am dealing with stated that they would bring the cost down as much as is humanly possible, seeing that I'm a teacher, and they have. However, said cost is still almost $5000. I do not have that kind of funds, nor do I have ample credit to attempt a loan. So, I am humbly reaching out in a way several of my friends suggested.
I just want to keep teaching my kids. I would rarely tell them this, but I do care about their education and wish to keep helping them grow their minds. And this is the only viable option I can see for me to keep a vehicle, who has a good engine, new brakes and has been taken care of, so that I may keep going to school and continuing their education. Thank you in advance any and all of you.
