Hi, my name is Hannah. I’m a single mom trying to hold it all together for me and my 4-year-old son, Jax.
Earlier this year, I made the difficult but necessary decision to leave my job in mental health. The work was incredibly important, but it was also deeply triggering for me after I lost my son’s dad to suicide. I wasn’t in the mental space to continue without it taking a toll on my well-being. I’ve been doing everything I can to stay afloat since then, using unemployment to survive while applying for jobs and trying to keep my head above water.
I recently reached the end of my unemployment benefits, and my plan was to earn income through food delivery until I started a new job. But now I’ve hit another wall: my car urgently needs brake and control arm repairs. I can’t drive it safely in its current condition, especially with my son in the car. Without transportation, I can’t deliver food, and without delivering food, I can’t earn the money I need to pay rent and bills.
Here’s the good news: by the grace of God, I finally just got hired for a new full-time job. I haven’t started yet, and it’ll be about a month before I receive my first paycheck. I’m incredibly relieved to finally have something stable on the horizon but I just need a little help getting there.
This fundraiser is to help me:
• Fix my car so I can safely work food delivery
• Pay my rent and basic bills in the meantime
• Keep things steady for my son and me while I wait for my first paycheck
If you’ve ever been in a tough spot and someone helped you, or if you’ve just got a heart that’s open to helping someone through a hard season, I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give whether it’s $5, a share, or a prayer.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. I believe better days are coming, and with a little help right now, I know we’ll get there.
With love and gratitude,
Hannah
